My first post in this blog is a dedication to music! I believe that we are just tools and things happen because they are destined to.
Though I claim to be the one who created this poem, when I read it,
every time I wonder if these are really words that I put together! I am
humbled every time I read this poem.
இதுதான் நீ என்று புரியவைக்க இயலாது
ஆனால் விளங்காததையும் எடுத்துரைப்பாய் நீ
(You cannot be explained to the point
But you can define even the undefinable emotions)
தனிமையின் அழகைக் கூட்டுவதும் நீ
வெறுமையின் கொடுமையை குறைப்பதும் நீ
(You add beauty to loneliness
You reduce the intensity of nothingness)
உனக்கென்று உணர்வுகள் இல்லாவிடினும்
எல்லா உணர்ச்சிகளுக்கும் வடிகால் நீ
(You don't have emotions for yourself
But you are a drain for all emotions)
ஒரு சிலரால் மட்டுமே சிருஷ்டிக்கப்படிருந்தாலும்
எவராலும் சொந்தம் கொண்டாட முடியும் நீ
(Only some create you
But you can be owned by anyone and everyone)
மொழிகளின் கருவறை நீ
மௌனத்தின் கல்லறை நீ
(You are the womb for languages
You are tomb for silence)
உன்னை அறிய செவிப்புலன் மட்டும் போதும்
எனினும் மற்ற புலன்களாலும் உயிர் பெறுவாய் நீ
(Sense of hearing is enough to know you
But you liven up all the other senses)
ஸ்வரங்களால் செய்த சிற்பம் நீ
கவிதையால் ஆன ஓவியமும் நீ
(You are a statue made of Swaras
and a painting made of poems)
அழுகையிலிருந்து ஒப்பாரி வரை
கொட்டாவியிலிருந்து குறட்டை வரை அனைத்திலும் நீ
(From birth cry to death cry
Yawning to Snoring you are present everywhere!)
அனைத்து பேதங்களையும் முழுதாய் நீக்கும்
சப்தங்களின் சுயம்வரம் நீ..
(You are devoid of any prejudices
You are a swayamvara of sounds)
என் ஒவ்வோர் அணுவையும் சிலிர்க்க வைக்கும் இசையே
உன் ஒவ்வோர் அசைவுக்கும் நான் அடிமை..
(You enthrall every cell in my body
I am a slave to every note of yours)
